A group of British school pupils have beaten off competition from thousands of kids around the world to triumph at the first European Lego Championships.
The Widcombe Robotiers at Widcombe Junior School in Bath built Bobby the robot so he could be programmed to complete all sorts of challenges.Judges at the championship finals in Norway were so impressed with their work that Bobby won two top awards. One of them was for having the most unique and interesting design. Championship organisers said winners of this award showed new ways of thinking and dared to take risks. The Widcombe Robotiers, who are all aged 10, beat kids from as far away as America and Korea in Asia to win the award and loads of them were much older than they are too. Lucy, who's one of the robotiers, said: "I just feel really proud of us because we've all been a really good team and we've worked together really well to get this far." Recommend this article...
